Places carry a secret name
Until a place is found, it shows neither its real name nor a sharp photo: just a code name — “The merchants’ chamber”, “The belfry of the humble”. Enough to make you want to go, never enough to guess.

The plan of Lille shows every place, found or not, along with your position and the direction you're facing. You choose your heading: which way you go is up to you.

The place unlocks when you're close
Nothing to press. The moment you step inside the boundary of a place, it unlocks: its real name appears, its photo sharpens, and a notification reaches you even if the app is in your pocket.

You read its story, right there
The story opens in chapters, facing the building: what it was, what played out there, what's left of it. You close it, you walk on — and Lille has one secret fewer.

By the end of the day, you have a walk.
The places you find don't pile up in a collection: they line up end to end, in the order you came across them. A map of the route on top, the thread of stops below — the memory of your day, to reopen whenever you like.
- Every stop carries its discovery number, its thumbnail and its neighbourhood.
- Tap a stop and the map recentres on it. Tap a number on the map and the list scrolls to it.
- A 📖 button reopens a story, as many times as you like.
The line joins your stops in straight segments: it's the thread of your discoveries, not a recording of your steps. Curiocité keeps no GPS trace.

No. No guided route, no order to respect, no checklist. You walk where you like and the city reveals itself as you go — which is exactly what makes a visit stick.
How long does it take to find everything?
There's no set duration. Some people do a handful of places over a lunch break, others spend a whole weekend at it. With more than 80 places, there's always something left for next time.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The principle — hunting down a place hidden behind a secret name and finding it on foot — works very well with a family, and the stories are written to be read out loud.
